THE LITTLE KITTENS.
A new Flipping Game [small illustration] played with bone counters.
As many persons can take part as there are different colours of counters. The players sit side by side at the table and the little Kittens are stood upright on the table at an agreed distance from the players.
A table with a table-cloth on is preferable. Numbered cards are drawn to ascertain the order of starting. Then each player takes all the counters, large and small, of a colour and trys [sic]to send all the small counters into the mouths of the Kittens by pressing them on the edge by means of the large one, called “Flipper”, as in Tidley Winks. It may be arranged to allow each player to play all his counters once, twice or three times each turn. The numbers marked above the hole whence the counter drops out is scored and the player who first scores a certain number is the winner. Sides may be formed to compete against each others.
