Tiddlywinks.org first came online in 1997, and was originally built using handwritten HTML by Rick Tucker. Later, it was converted to use Microsoft’s FrontPage website development application. And later yet, Adobe Dreamweaver.
In 2015, Tiddlywinks.org was converted to WordPress. Through 2020, it used the Magazine Premium theme by C. Bavota. Starting in January 2020, the TimeLine Blog theme by A WP Life was adopted. In 2022, the website was transformed to use the Elementor Pro WordPress development environment, which went live on 11 September 2022.
Tiddlywinks.org was hosted at Internetconnection.com from 1997 to 2017, when that service stopped operations. From 2017 to 2022 it was hosted at Hostgator.com. Since 2022 it has been hosted in the Elementor Cloud.
Archive.org stores captured snapshots of earlier versions of Tiddlywinks.org back to 1998. Predecessor tiddlywinks web pages were hosted at http://www.cpcug.org/user/rwtucker/tiddlywinks.html.
Most paper documents in the NATwA Archives are digitally scanned using VueScan. Scanned document images are converted to text using Abbyy FineReader for Mac, and edited in HTML/CSS using Adobe Dreamweaver CC or Apple Xcode. Most physical photographic images in the NATwA Archives are digitally scanned using SilverFast Ai software. Adobe Lightroom Classic is used to organize and edit images in the NATwA Archives.
