The Czechoslovakian company Směr of Prague was founded in 1952 and is still operating as of 2023. The Směr company produced these tiddlywinks games, which, interestingly enough, are marked in English as TIDDLEY-WINKS on a metallic plastic label across the front cover of the round Bakelite container. This metallic label is applied across the top of the container (covering one of the Směr PRAHA globe logos) and also around the bottom of the container, which also sports the Směr globe logo along with “MADE IN CZECHOSLOVAKIA” (in English, again). While this game is clearly of Czechoslovakian origin, it is curious that the game name and other text are entirely in English.
